
After creating/opening a file, you can edit your work by using mouse or tablet.
You can simply select a tool mode to apply an effect you want.
To select a tool, you can do so in tool window.
Each tool has an option, so it enables you to set up further details.
Shortcut key of being selected tool is shown at the bottom of window (status bar). You can set up shortcut key from Environment Setting.
Following titles indicate "Tool name <Shortcut>"
Brush <B>A drawing tool using mouse or tablet. You can draw freely.
Refer to the brush list in brush window for other brush types.
You can set up smoothing level, adjustment strength, brush pressure, and AntiAliasing in option window.
By clicking while pressing down Shift key, you can draw a straight line from the start point to clicked point.
Prevent from hand shaking by slowing the brush processing. Larger value makes stronger effect.
When the stroke ends, it will make the stroke evenly. There are brush types that adjustment is invalid.
Smoothen the curve.
Apply the brush pressure. If you prefer not to use the pressure effect, you can simply uncheck the box.
Smoothen edges. You can use this effect in 8bpp or 32bpp layers.
Show an opacity density at random.
Eraser <E>Erase images by mouse or tablet.
Engage an effect between brush pressure and size.
Engage an effect between brush pressure and opacity.
Erase an image lightly.
Show an opacity density at random.
Dot BrushDifferent from brush tool, dot brush can create an extremely thin stroke with 1,2,3 pixel width and does not use a pressure.
AntiAliasing is not valid with brush. It is recommended to use dot brush for an extremely fine work.
By clicking while pressing down Shift key, you can draw a straight line from the start point to clicked point.
Stamp <S>Different from Copy&Paste, it enables you to create a cloned image easily witha selected brush.
To set a sampling point in the image, click on the area where you want to copy the image from while pressing down Alt key.
In case of using a translucent image, it may cause an opacity problem.
Apply an active pattern for drawing.
RectangleCreate a rectangle filled with the selected color by dragging a cursor from the start point to the end point.
If you set up the corner roundness, you can create a rounded corner rectangle.
EllipseCreate an ellipse filled with the selected color by dragging a cursor from the start point to the end point.
PolygonCreate a polygon filled with the selected color.
Add a vertex by left-clicking and finalize the shape by double-clicking.
You can cancel the previous vertex by right-clicking.
LineDraw a straight line with the specified thickness.
Add a vertex by clicking and finalize the end point by double-clicking.
You can cancel the previous vertex by right-clicking.
FrameDraw a line from start to end points. You can specify the line width.
It is recommended to use in the vetor layer.
Rectangle FrameDraw a frame with specified width and height. It is useful for the cartoon frames. You can specify the line width.
It is recommended to use in the vetor layer.
Add Text <T>Insert a text object at clicked point. It is available only in a vector layer.
You can move a text by dragging and edit by double-clicking.
Object ControlYou can select and control an object vertex. It cannot be available while rotating.
If you click anywhere, the nearest object will be selected.
If you drag the mouse, you can select multiple vertexes within the selected area at once.
Move a vertex freely by dragging. There are object that cannot be moved.
Add a vertex by clicking. There are object that cannot be moved.
Delete a vertex by clicking. There are object that cannot be moved.
Distort line/stroke objects.
Divide frame object/rectangle frame object by dragging. (you can force the vertical/horizontal move by the Shift key, and disable the margin by the Ctrl key.)
Fill <G>Fill with the Foreground color from the clicked point.
You can set the brightness level as the area to be filled.
You will not be able to fill the black area if you check "Protection." It will prevent from filling over the main lines.
Also, you can choose the filling object from either "Layer" or "displayed image."
GradientFill with the gradient from start point(Foreground color) to end point(background color) by dragging the cursor.
Following are options:
Select the gradient shape either linear or circular.
Select from Clamp(normal), Repeat(0~255,0~255...), or Mirror(0~255~0~255).
Select from either Foreground~Background(overwrite), or Foreground(combination) only.
Move <V>Move a layer position freely.
You can move only the selected area by dragging the cursor.
If you drag within the selected area while holding down the Ctrl key, you can copy the image within selected area.
You can move the layer or selection straight up-down or left-right by holding down the Shift key.
RotationRotate an object in vector layer.
You can rotate lines, frames, strokes, and polygonal objects.
Rectangle Selection <M>Create a rectangular shape selection.
By dragging the cursor, you can create a rectangular selection from the start to end points.
All the selection tools has the following functions: "add a selection while holding down the Shift key" and "delete a selection while holding down the Control key."
You can move the selection by dragging directly on the selected area.
Ellipse SelectionCreate an ellipsoidal shape selection.
By dragging the cursor, you can create an ellipsodial selection from the start to end points.
Polygon SelectionCreate a polygonal shape selection.
Add a vertex by left-click, and finalize the last vertex by double-click.
Cancel the previous vertex by right-click.
Lasso SelectionSelect an area you want to select freely.
Auto Selection <W>select an area of an image based on clicked color.
You can set the brightness level as "Threshold."
Also, you can select the object of selection from either "Active Layer" or "Merged Image."
Color Range SelectionSelect a specified color or color subset within an existing selection or an entire image.
Pen SelectionAdd a selection by using a pen.
DeselectRemove a selection by using an eraser.
Eyedropper <I>Pick a color at where the cursor is located and specify as an active color.
You can also pick a color by holding down the Alt key and click on a color.
RulerIt is a measure tool, guides, and grids that help you position images or elements precisely across the width or length of an image.
Pan <H>Move a displayed area of an image.
You can also pan by holding down the space key and drag the cursor, or by dragging in navigator window.
Pan (Rotation)Change a display angle of an image by dragging.
You can also change an angle by holding down the Shift & Space keys and drag, or holding down the Alt & Space keys and drag. Please refer to "Shortcut" description.
ZoomIn/ZoomOutZoom in and out from the center of image by click.
It will be easier to use a shortcut key.
