What is the difference between standard and Plus version?

The Plus version is the highly efficient version of oC4, which added more convenient functions.

Please let me know about system requirements for oC4?

openCavas4/Plus correspond to Windows Me/2000/XP.

Does it work with Windows 95/98/98SE/NT4.0?

We do not guaranteed to operate OpenCanvas4/Plus with Windows 95/98/98SE/NT4.0.
This does not mean openCanvas does not work at all. However, please understand that we do not support any problem in any case with those OS.

Is there a version for Mac?

openCanvas corresponds with only Windows It does not correspond to Macintosh.
At this moment, we are not planning to develop the Mac version.

Does oC4 support Multi-Monitor (dual display monitor)?

It doesn't support formally.
However, it usually works when setting a primary monitor at left and a secondary monitor at the right.
We recommend testing in an actual system requirements of the trial version.

Does oC4 support Tablet PC?

It doesn't support Tablet PC.
However, it sometimes works depending on the installation of driver.

A serial key input window doesn't pop up.

Once a serial key is inputted, window for serial key would not pop up anymore.
Please contact us when you need to input the serial key again by some reasons if you are our registered user.

Please understand we cannot guide this to any trial version users.

I entered the serial key but functions I can use are still limited.

A limitation isn't sometimes canceled when incorrect serial key is entered.
Please contact us if this happened.

Can I install it in other computers as well?

The license of oC4 is issued to the individual purchaser.
You can install it in other computers as long as you use it individually.
However, you must have serial key separately when other people uses with other computers.

I cannot register with WindowsXP!

Because access permission is set up for every user in WindowsXP, you cannot use the trial edition or register depending on the user name (= account) being used.

You must be under Power Users or Administrators in order to try and register oC4/Plus. However, it would be possible to use under Users or above after registration. However, it would be possible to use under Users or above after registration.

When the warning 'cannot open key' is displayed, you cannot register since User authority is too low.

Can I use the version newly released?

Serial key is common to all the versions of oC4.
There is no additional charge to use the new version 4.xx released in our web.

What is "Trial Version"?

It is possible to use openCanvas (but, some functions are excluded) with free of charge while trial period or until it meets the trial requirement.
You can try its operation feeling and test the functions before your purchase.

Is it free of charge to download Trial version?

It is free to download and try it.

What happens after Trial version would be expired?

When a trial period expires, a function such as saving images can't be used any more.
However, you can still save event files.

How Can I check expiration of Trial version?

When a trial period is expired, trial! and "!" appear on the title bar.
"Trial User" also appears on version information.

Trial version does not work with WindowsXP even in the trial period!

We are distributing openCanvas4/Plus with installer as well.
Those who do not know PC well need to download one with installer.

If the downloaded installer does not operate well, please try to execute?
WindowsUpdate or/and renew WindowsInstaller.

How can I release the limitation of Trial version?

Please purchase the serial key of openCanvas to release the trial limitation.
You would be our registered user by inputting the key on its Trial version. The limitation of your openCanvas would be released, and it would be Formal version.

I can not open the Trial version I have downloaded.

There are 2 kinds of file in the distribution of openCanvas. One is "Installer file(exe)" which would be installed only by executing it. Another one is "Compression file(lzh)" which needs decompression at first.
If you do not know the meaning of "Compression file (lzh)", we recommend
to use "Installer".
The difference is only the installation methods. There is no did alone, and do difference in the product.

What is "Serial Key"?

Your openCanvas4 would be the formal version after inputting the serial key on the window which pops up when starting the program.
Please input the accurate serial key since capital and small letters are distinguished.

I still haven't received the serial key even I purchased that.

We have to confirm anybody as our registered user to reissue the serial key.

Is it possible to upgrade from older version?

Only the users who hold openCanvas 3/Plus or any later versions are able to upgrade to openCanvas 4/Plus.
Please understand it is impossible to upgrade from openCanvas 2 series.

Can I use former version after upgrading?

Even you already have purchased the upgrade version, the former version could be used as long as you are the purchaser.

Can I download any older version?

Any registered users who has one or more regular license(s) of any previous versions can download the binary file on the confirmation page here.

May I use the version newly released?

It does not cost any extra charge for any newer versions of openCanvas 4.XX basically which would be distributed to the public at our Website.

openCanvas is similar to the program named COMIC ART CG illust. Why does it happen?

That is the product which is OEM version of our product, openCanvas.
Please inquire questions and ask any support and service to OEM version sales company.

openCanvas is similar to the software named COMIC ART CG illust.

The event file created with CG illust 4/openCanvas 4 cannot be contributed mutually.
However, it is possible to replay the files since complete compatibility is provided as those functions.

Is it possible to upgrade from COMIC ART CG illust to openCanvas?

OpenCanvas and CG illust are totally different products.
The upgrade from different products cannot be done.
