What kind of file format should I use when I upload the illustration?
You can upload unlocked event files save in openCanvas program, such as .oe* / .cne / .wpe. Please note that you cannot upload files saved as .jpg/ .gif/ .png.
What is the maximum file size that I can upload?
Currently, it is 32 MB. Larger than 32 MB will not be uploaded.
I cannot upload my illustration.
Please note the below matters;
  1. Was the file saved as "unlocked event file"?
    You can upload "unlocked event files" only. Please upload the files saved as "Save as Event File."
  2. Are you using anything other than the alphabet and numbers for the file name?
    You can only use the alphabet, numbers, and underscore for a file name. Other than these are not accepted, including a blank space. This also applies to a folder name. Please make sure that you are not using other than above letters.
  3. Haven’t you uploaded the same file name before?
    If you have uploaded the same file name before through any openCanvas versions, you will not be able to upload the file. And also, if you try to upload the same name and size file within a month from last time, our community site will skip the rendering process without asking. In order to avoid this problem, please change the file size by adding more event or so, or change the file name.
  4. Are you trying to upload an image created in other than openCanvas program, with the openCanvas trial version?
    You cannot bring in following images with the trial version;
    -Scanned images
    -Copied & pasted images
    -JPEG, BMP etc. images files other than openCanvas format
  5. May your computer security setting be too high?
    If you use a security software, such as Firewall, etc., please try to make it invalid at uploading. Depending on your LAN environment, you may not be able to upload a file. Please consult with your LAN manager.
Please refer to "How to upload an illustration" for the uploading procedure.
If you do above matters all correctly and still cannot upload a file, please contact us.
My uploaded file is not displayed on the website.
Once the portalgraphics community site receives an uploaded event file, rendering server will play back the event file automatically. Therefore, longer playing-back time gets later display time.
Also if many people try to upload at the same time, it gets delayed.
After the completion of uploading, a message will be displayed in your uploaded illustration management page. Please hold on until the rendering is completed.Please contact us if you do not see a message after several hours.
Event file cannot be played.
If you do not have the drawing replay file (such as you pasted an image from somewhere else) or there is an error, you will not be able to play back the drawing procedure. Please verify if you have the drawing replay file. Depending on the drawing, playing-back may be ended in the middle of the process.
Can I upload an illustration created in Photoshop, SAI, or other graphic software?
It is no problem if you use other graphic software for partial editing/ painting/ drawing. However if you do not use the openCanvas program at all, please refrain from doing so.
I would like to upload an illustration created in a openCanvas trial version or COMIC ART CG illust.
You can upload your illustration created in a trial version. After the expiration of trial version, you can still upload your saved file. However, due to the limitation of the trial version, you cannot bring in images created in other than openCanvas, such as scanned, copied/pasted images, etc.
COMIC ART CG illust users can upload files as well*.
*We currently accept version 2 only.
